  1. Okay. I’ll say it:

It’s a white guy! Not that black dude we saw in the background of the last panel from the previous page! GO RACIAL UNITY! WIN!

So now that we have that out of the way, I do like that we getting to know Maya. She’s been a little lost the past few story arcs and I’m looking to seeing the focus shift onto her.

  2. Yeah, I bet everyone thought it was the other guy. Well, he was looking her way and all, but hey, multiracial babies are the CUTEST ever! And they’re so lovey dovey… good for him. Guys who stick around are REAL men.

  3. Haha. Does her daddy know she’s dating a white guy.

    1. Her parents do. His think they broke up.

  4. Lol, that’s rare or he’s a mommas boy to feel the need to hide it from his parents. Usually and especially in these situations it’s her parents that they would have to hide from.

    1. They threatened to cut him off so they’re playing broken up until he gets done with college.

  5. a trick: Artist could have put ANY color guy where the black guy was on the last page! we thought that it was him because he was the most front and center! (and because he was facing us)

    1. Not really if it was a white guy most of us would have assumed he was just curious who came through the door. It’s rather rare to find a minority girl crossing racial boundaries. Usually because her family and friends and everyone else is pissed at her about it.
And you won’t hear her saying: “Oh daddy, stop being such a bigot”
Much like the difference in the way the genders handle age difference in a couple, one way is alright but the other is a big no-no.

      1. I meant more that, if it were two white guys, or two black guys, or what have you, we’d have assumed that it was the guy in front. I mean, we had two options, of those two, that’d who we would have picked.

    2. maybe we’re seeing Dani’s POV. She was looking at the black guy, because she thought that’s who Maya was talking about

ps. I’m not saying Dani’s a racist. Just someone who makes assumptions based on societal norms.

      1. That’d make sense. (and seems the most likely)- certainly can’t blame her for making basic assumptions- we are, of course, creatures of habit and quick-categorization :3

  6. Dani being so far in the background makes me think either she’s nervous… or she is wishing she had that sort of relationship with someone.

  7. AHA, the bait-and-switch!!
Either way AWWW he’s such a sweetie. XD
