Normally I would consider this sort of thing to be out of character for Dani, but the thing is I think she has just reached her breaking point. She’s been pushed around by people since the very beginning of the comic, and now, she finally has the upper hand on the smug SOB, that has been a thorn in not just her side, but all of her friends as well. She has managed to get one over on Loki, which is no small feat. I think she is entitled to gloat over her victory here.
She knew she could do it because she’d already done worse things to her mom. By making peace with her mom, she both begins to repair that relationship and frees up the mental resources to gag Loki.
I’d advise never forgetting that he can still watch through her eyes and hear through her ears.
Loki’s more like a fly on a frog on the bump of a log in some hole in the bottom of the sea-I mean her belly.
Well,… I mean,… for him,… it may FEEL like he’s at the bottom of the sea, due to the amniotic fluid
Also, Dani’s smile at the end… just makes her look evil to me

So she did know what she was doing. But when did she realize she could make him shut up I wonder

Good for her to stand up take charge and I hope loki starts to respect her and maybe reflects
