I’m just gonna guess that Frost tried to take Myria to the loony bin, but she {possessed by Loki} got away, and even after the trade off is on the run because crazy, so Frost is trying to chase after her, but his efforts are hindered by the simple fact both their funds are cut off, {when Loki had Dani take all that money}.

Dani’s a telepath, right? Is she so involved in keeping her mom from freaking out about…everything…that she can’t make a quick call once in a while?

Yes, but she’s never consciously tried long distance anyway. She’s not to me my X-mening anyone.
