I feel so sorry for Taryn, she looks so scared, sad, depressed useless in this panel
Actually, random question but, WOULD this even kill the monster?
I seem to recall most ‘vampire’ like monsters requiring specific elements or tools to be killed off for good.
Now I know what your gonna say ‘even if she knows she’s probably content to torture the thing until it WISHES it could die’, but still.
Aswangs are WEIRD. You can cuss them to death in some tales, so it really depends. Decapitation is usually a reliable method in most myths though.
Chopping the head off will kill almost anything really
Kasumi is crossing the line between defending her friend and being vindictive. This is interesting character development for both of them.
Given what that thing was planning on doing to Taryn, I can’t really blame Kasumi for going into payback mode.
So that’s what she did with the bin. That honestly made me chuckle a bit.
I think, at least what I’m reading out of Taryn’s emotional cues, that a lot of what’s going through Taryn’s mind is yes, surprise and some fear at Kasumi, but also a kind of guilt. Just before this thing went to try and eat her child, it told her that she was the weakest of the group. That kind of a thing’s got to sting, and I think it has made her wonder if she is capable of protecting her child.
