Last time we saw them together, Dani and Cath straight up told Taryn NOT to go to the Lupercalia celebrations. Taryn did it twice, and it just put people at risk my attracting the monsters.
Kinda seems like the monsters were going to show up regardless, they just lucked out that Taryn was there.
