Secret informant by the name of Deep Throat wasn’t originally from MGS, but the informant who blew the lid of the watergate scandal back in the 70’s and even then was a reference to the name of a porn.
Since then it’s been used referentially as the name of an informant in various sources since, including X-Files, MGS, and others.
