The counterpoint is that the demigods did not share their parent god’s abilities. Nor did the mothers of said demi-gods get powers by which they could defend said demigods while preganant.
So what if the Gods handed Pan a cover story? What if the girls are carrying avatars, not demi-gods? What if they’re providing new flesh-bodies for the gods who’ve chosen them?
It would explain Loki’s interest, wouldn’t it? Loki once said he was bodyless. Suppose that’s true of all the gods except for a few oddballs like Pan (pardon the pun)?
