Why can’t it be both?
Likely she picked up on Adam’s surface thoughts (which, to be fair, were probably loud and poorly guarded), and then Loki being the sort to seize an opportunity would have pointed out an inconvenient truth, and by the last panel Cait can see he is right.
Then again, I could be reading too much into it.
