She’s being a troll. Like yeah she wants a boyfriend but at this point Adam has given up too easily on telling Cait and she thinks him being uncomfortable is funny/his own making.

I think she’s more into the idea of him. meaning he’s someone who accepts Cait for who she is and even likes it some of the things going on with her, while others would use that as an excuse to push her away instead. Taryn’s main thing,at least in my reading and interpretation is she just wants to be accepted for who she is. which for no part of this story, including the prologue, she has been.
