Ah, I see. still a relatively short time though, and it would still be a huge shock to their daughter suddenly 9 months pregnant when they were only away for two months or so. 🙂

It’s actually been closer to 2-3 months story wise. Cait is legally emancipated from her parents which keeps her parents from being arrested for abandonment and Cait able to live alone for extended periods. She used to stay with Adam’s family though.

Yes it did take some effort for a chid that’s not abused to be emancipated but they had some help.

so they’re freaked out about the fact that there seems to be something supernatural going on, more than they are about the pregnancy itself. so of course they’re VERY worried about their daughter right now.
after all If it was just a normal pregnancy then they would had been simply mad at her male friend for causing it, and maybe demanding that he “owe up” to his responsibilities or something.
