Jeez given the looks on Cait’s parents faces (whenever she can’t see them), I think the explanation Pan went for was:

I think they were never under Pan’s spell since he lost his magic just before they got home. They appear to be shocked, but unable to figure out how to broach things. So they keep tip-toeing around the elephant in the room.

I’m beginning to think that they’re in on it. I believe I remember (correct me if I’m wrong) Pan mentioning “others” at some point, but not referring to the Gods, and that Cait’s parents are archaeologists We don’t know much so far about what area of archaeology her parents are involved in, but if it involves Greek stuff, I think that would lend some support to my theory. Besides that, they seem to know already that she’s pregnant: the look that passed between Mum and Dad a few pages ago when Cait was seeing Adam out was ripe with silent communication. I’m going to need to go back now and see what I can read between the lines. ^_^
