If you’re a comics reader and heven’t found Top Ten, consider it. It finished its run a decade ago, so don’t expect to find individual issues. It’s a very uplifing message hidden deep inside a very cynical, satirical (if wiitty and imaginative–this is Moore) coating.

No, it was originally a Robert Howard character reference. Translates roughly as ‘high youkai’ or ‘dæmon king’. I liked the story and the name was open on Yahoo. As for Charles Dodgson aka Lewis Carroll, I’ve been reading that since I was a kid too.

I am reminded of Alan Moore’s various depictions of entering the Immateria. You move past personal and cultural symbols on your way out (or in, depending on where you consider “out” and “in” to be)
