Maybe he is redeemable. To me, this scene separates unknowing jerk from plain jerk. Tailing them and snapping pictures of them in public is something a teenager would do without even thinking of moral consecuences(sp?). Bribing is an act of desparation in order to get into this group. Lying, however is morally and unmistakenly wrong, something EVERYBODY knows. That’s what makes him the very hard to forgive jerk.

lol That’s exactly what I did- humanized him. On the other hand, there are two kinds of jerks. One type is the jerk who doesn’t realise he/she is being a jerk (going along with peer pressure). This type of jerk is redeemable. Then there is a second type of jerk. This type of jerk is the selfish jerk, the evil jerk. He is a jerk, who thinks it is his right and his priveledge to be a jerk. I was hoping Cyril was the first type of jerk and not the second type. I was wrong.
