I feel the same way, fanfiction was something that I very quickly discovered once I got my own computer and could explore the internet as I wished…though I’d been reading a friend’s fanfic for quite a while before that…though I’ve sort of always been aware of it I think. But yeah, the notion of someone not having at least heard of it seems rather strange to me ^^’

That and Hal’s “I’ve still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission” were the inspirations for Cat’s statement. I didn’t want to directly quote either one as it didn’t strike me as Cat being a big enough fan of either to remember the quotes.
