Kasumi’s range isn’t so great that she can pull ground water up unless it’s near the surface. Presumably Typhon picked a spot where there isn’t any.

You’re in a mountain range with at least one dam in it. Tryphon probably set up away from any obvious river, but that just leaves the inobvious ones.

Dani’s shield isn’t a static defense like Typhon’s stockade. If you need to get closer, all you have to do is walk. Pride and ego may make it hard for Typhon and his goons to fall back.

Also note that water, with the proper impurities, is a conductor. Even if Kasumi doesn’t have the water to mount an attack, she can use a trail of droplets to extend the range of Cailyn’s lightning. Teamwork, girls!
