It’s entirely possible they could be both right, Loki wanted to be reborn so in the intended exchange he’d help the two {or at least Myria} with magical mischief, but along the way she figured out how to keep Loki around for as long as she wanted, which would partly explain why he drove her mad over time, you would too if you made a deal to be free but your ‘partner’ is like ‘naah Imma keep you forever’.
