Since moving we’ve gone to see Thor, X-men: First Class, Super 8, and Monday Green Lantern.
X-men wins just for my enjoyment of the comics, and James McAvoy. I love Erik and groovy Charles. Although I didn’t like Azazel in the comics his movie counterpart almost made up for a lack of Nightcrawler. And there may be baby crawler in the future of the series.
Super 8 was second. Top notch quality, of course. The kids were good but the ending seemed a bit.. “Is that all?”
Thor… Well I could have done without Natalie Portman. I’m sure Lyze disagrees but I just for the romance uninteresting and I’d have rather seen a movie about the Warriors Three, Sif, and Thor Bro-ing it up. Liked the after credits thing. Kinda sorta just like Myria and Loki.
Green Lantern… Not sure if it suffered from me hearing too many bad things about it, but it’s on the bottom for me. Ryan Reynolds playing Ryan Reynolds. Easily defeated villain that everyone in the universe was supposed to be afraid of.

*spoilers* I was sort of disappointed at how quickly they killed Darwin off, though… think they could have done a lot more with his character.
I don’t think he’s dead. They made a big deal about how he’s basically invincible. He’s not dead. A similar situation happened in the comic and he just turned to energy.
*spoilers* He’s never seen or referenced again in the other movies. In fact, most of the characters don’t a return, which is a bit disappointing.
Is Maya actually from Puerto, or just one or both parents?
She was born there, but raised in mainland US.
Crap! I saw Thor with my bro and his girlfriend. I knew there was going to be something after the credits, but they wouldn’t stick around long enough to find out. What happened?

Loki is in the Professor guy’s head. The older guy with Natalie Portman. Totally forgot half the characters. Yeah.
At the end Nick Fury takes him to see the um.. cube of powerfulness and Loki is puppetting him. Not exactly the same as Myria, since she’s currently still in control. Close enough that I tittered.
